The Great American Songbook Foundation Hall of Fame

Meredith Willson was inducted into the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame in 2020.

The Great American Songbook Foundation (founded by Michael Feinstein) is dedicated to preserving influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century. The foundation’s headquarters houses a collection of compositions, recordings, scrapbooks, correspondence, and photographs from the archives of performers and composers whose work is included in the American Songbook.

The personal papers of Meredith Willson are housed in The Great American Songbook Archives (Carmel, Indiana). Digitization of those papers for online viewing is in process. Watch this site for full details as to their availability when that project is completed. To learn more about Meredith Willson’s induction into the GASF Hall of Fame, click HERE.
